Helen Manders
BSc Physiotherapy (Hons) MCSP, HCPC
Hi, I’m Helen, I qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2001 with a BSc Honours in Physiotherapy. I began working in the NHS and with professional sports teams. Then after moving house, I began working full-time in a private hospital where I still work now 1 day a week.
In 2009 after starting our family I set up my own clinic – striving for that all-important work-life balance. The clinic is a beautiful purpose-built space to the side of our house, built by my lovely husband. I am still fortunate to be working for myself and feel really privileged to serve the local community where I grew up.
More recently I have been developing Online Treatment Programs. Allowing you to treat some of the common problems I see in clinic at home. I share advice, exercises, techniques and tips via bite-sized videos. Allowing you to resolve your pain and injury quickly without leaving the house. Starting at just £59 they are an affordable solution.
The idea came about after struggling to get a couple of new patients into clinic due to their busy schedules. By the time we finally met 3 weeks later, I knew that they could have already resolved their pain with my new online programs. At the time I had been doing an online self-development course and I loved how it fit in around my life to suit me. The rest is history and I now have a range of treatment programs with more in the pipeline. Have a look if I have something for you – Online Treatment Programs.
My ongoing work at the hospital allows me to maintain a close working relationship with some very talented surgeons and practitioners whose expertise I can call upon with ease and confidence. These connections are invaluable to the service I can offer my patients here in the clinic. Working with other healthcare professionals helps to keep me challenged and my knowledge and skills updated. I’m continually working to improve my clinical skills through courses and training.
When I’m not working I love spending time in the great outdoors with my family. Exploring new places in the caravan, hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, helping organise events in the village or at home in the kitchen baking or tending to my garden and allotment.
